Kiosk for City of Phoenix South Mountain Park This excerpt from the kiosk at the South Mountain Park Visitor's Center in Phoenix, Arizona shows an abbreviated sample of my work on the project. I was repsonsible for virtually every aspect of this installation, from the concept to the 3D landscape, animal and plant illustrations to the music. The kiosk was built around petroglyph symbols representing the various aspects of the Hohokam indian model of the universe. The user explores the "virtual mountain" much as they would in the real world, by looking, listening and experimenting with what they find. Only one area is active in this excerpt, with two sample "hot spots". The real kiosk has five desert areas to explore with multiple levels, interactive games, sounds, video and audio clips.
